In development since 2003. This is a solar pod that tracks the sun without any moving parts. The solar energy is concentrated onto a central boiler which is charged with an environmentally responsible refrigerant. The central boiler is also plated with high-efficiency solar cells. Because a refrigerant is used, multiple benefits result. The solar cells are kept cool which helps them run longer and stronger. Air conditioning is provided. Hot water can be run from the heat exchanger. Water itself, the ultimate resource, can be condensed from the air. Since the planet is 3/4 covered with water, this resource is omnipresent. The solarpod can therefore also provide hydroxy fuel by electrolyzing the water it collects.
The solarpod without refrigerant or PV cells can be used as an oven, furnace, or photochemical reactor.
